Bills Daily 2013 Mock Draft

For the 14th year in a row, Bills Daily tries to predict who the Bills will draft. Obviously these are just our best guesses along with some wishful thinking and we give you alternate picks in the early rounds if the players they want are gone already. If you want to do more research check our draft links.

ROUND/PICK PREDICTION/ANALYSIS
1-8 (  #8 overall)   QB Ryan Nassib - Syracuse The only thing that has me weary about them taking Nassib is because it is so obvious that he is the right choice. The team is all in on this Syracuse thing so they might as well go all the way and take the QB to go with the head coach and offensive coordinator so they can hit the ground running. I think QB is the only way to go here so if they don't take Nassib, Matt Barkley is the next best fit.
2-9 ( #41 overall)    WR Justin Hunter - Tennessee The Bills are desperate for help at wide receiver opposite Stevie Johnson. Hunter it the tall receiver type they have coveted for a few years. He can line up outside allowing them to play Johnson in the slot. They spent a lot of time looking at Tennessee WRs so Hunter may be the pick here. If not, they may go with a corner or a safety here. Possibilities include S Matt Elam from Florida or CB Johnthan Banks from Mississippi St. One or both of them could be gone though.
3-9 (#71 overall)    TE Vance McDonald - Rice The Bills could use a pass receiving tight end with Scott Chandler coming back from a torn ACL. McDonald has tremendous upside and can develop into a really good receiver. If they don't get a corner in the second round they may take Banks teammate here in CB Darius Slay if they don't go with a tight end here.
4-8 (#105 overall)    CB Jordan Poyer - Oregon St. I have corner as the backup spot in the previous two rounds, if they haven't taken one yet they really need to take on in round 4. Poyer grades out well here. The team can go back to the Syracuse well here and take strong safety Shamarko Thomas if he's available. They can use some more depth at that position.
5-10 (#143 overall)    G Jeff Baca - UCLA The Bills need a guard to develop and to add depth now that Andy Levitre is gone. Baca would be a good fit in this spot.
6-9 (#177 overall)    WR Marcus Davis - Virginia Tech Another big wide receiver at the position with the least depth on the team.
