Bills May Be Shopping McGahee
Giants Willing To Give Day 2 Pick: Giants GM Jerry Reese said he is no way willing to give up a day one draft pick to acquire Willis McGahee from the Bills but he would consider a day two pick. It is doubtful that the Bills would trade McGahee for less then a third round pick.

McGahee To Giants? Rumors are now running high at the combine that the Bills may trade Willis McGahee to the Giants. GM Jerry Reese said the team needs to add a running back now that Tiki Barber has retired. He mentioned talk about McGahee specifically but said they are looking at all options. ESPN.com is reporting that the Bills are letting other teams know that they are shopping the running back. McGahee has one year left on his contract and wants a new deal from the Bills but some off the field issues may make the Bills look elsewhere at that position. Do you think the Bills should trade McGahee? Let us know what you think, take our poll on our homepage.

No Tag Use: The deadline passed at 4pm today to use a franchise tag and as expected the Bills kept theirs in their back pocket. They used the tag last year on Nate Clements but promised him they wouldn't use it on him again. Marv Levy said that wouldn't be fair to the player. The Bills will now have to outbid other teams to keep their own free agents once the free agency period opens on March 2nd unless they lock some of them up before then which is unlikely.

Fletcher Wants To Stay: London Fletcher was on Sirius NFL radio yesterday and expresses his desire to stay in Buffalo. He said the team is really on the right track with some solid young players and they are heading in the right direction. Fletcher said his agent Drew Rosenhaus and the Bills will have some discussion during the combine and try to get something done before the start of free agency. This contradicts a bit the statements made by Marv Levy who said last week that the team needs more aggressive linebackers, not the kind that makes tackles behind the play. Fletcher said after the season ended that he will make this decision based on his family as it is his last big contract.
