Keiaho Likes City: Freddy Keiaho spoke to the media after his visit with the team today. He called Buffalo a green, clean, nice city and liked that it is close to Canada. He thinks the Bills really like him and they spoke to him about possibly playing the sam linebacker position. He feels the team will be fine whether he signs here or not. Like Cato June yesterday he said a lot of the terminology and scheme is the same as he is used to so the transition would be pretty easy. He was drafted as a sam linebacker but has played more mike and will linebacker. The Bills play their will linebacker in the sam position. He thinks the Bills are a talented football team that is on the upswing. Keiaho feels he can be a better football player and if he feels this coaching staff can do that it could be a good place for him.
Lynch Gets 3 Years Probation: To update our earlier report Marshawn Lynch received three years probation as he pleaded guilty to one of three misdemeanor charges and the other two misdemeanor charges were dropped. He pleaded guilty to carrying a firearm in a vehicle. The charge for carrying a loaded firearm and the one for carrying an unregistered firearm were dismissed. Along with the three years probation Lynch has to do 80 hours of community service by Sept. 1st. Lynch and his lawyer took swift action to get this case behind them unlike his hit and run last year. A suspension is likely from the commissioner's office. There is a good chance he can get up to a four game suspension as a repeat offender of the league's personal conduct policy.
LB Visits: There is a third visitor to One Bills Drive today as LB Freddie Keiaho is in town. He joins previously reported Kevin Jones and Joey Galloway as players in town today. Keiaho is a former third round pick of the Colts and he has started the past two seasons at weakside linebacker. The Colts defense is very similar to the Bills cover two defense. A player like Keiaho or Cato June, who visited yesterday, would presumably be able to step right in to the Bills linebacking corps alongside of Kawika Mitchell and Paul Posluszny. Keiaho finished second on the team in tackles last year with 114.
Lynch Pleads: Pro Football Talk is reporting that Marshawn Lynch has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges from the possession of a firearm from the incident last month in California. The PFT website has a statement e-mailed them from Lynch that states: "Today I pled guilty to a misdemeanor violation of having a firearm in a vehicle, I am embarrassed by my recent arrest and conviction. I deeply regret that I placed myself in this situation. I have made mistakes in the past. Although I have learned many lessons over recent years, I obviously have not learned enough. I apologize to my family, the Buffalo Bills organization, my teammates, the Buffalo community, and Commissioner Goodell. I have already learned from this recent mistake and am sincerely committed to being a more responsible citizen and better representative of the NFL.” Now Lynch should expect a suspension from the NFL under the personal conduct policy.
Two More Visits: The Bills are hosting two veterans today as WR Joey Galloway and RB Kevin Jones are in town. Galloway was in New England yesterday and Jones was rumored to be coming to One Bills Drive for a visit yesterday. Jones has battled injuries throughout his career. He's a former first round pick of the Lions and was on the Bears last year. He only had 34 carries last season. The Bills are still looking for that third running back as insurance with Marshawn Lynch's status up in the air. They are still looking for a veteran #2 WR as well and that has brought the veteran Galloway to town. He has spent the last five years in Tampa Bay and was bothered by injuries much of last season. He has three 1,000 yard seasons in his career.
Greer Has Fond Memories: As Jabari Greer leaves for New Orleans he had some nice things to say about his time in Buffalo. He thanked the fans for the tremendous amount of support they gave him. He said Buffalo will always hold "a special place in his heart". He went on to say he had no remorse or regrets and appreciates everything that happened in Buffalo. His deal with the Saints is reportedly a four year deal worth around $23 Million according to the Buffalo News.

June Feels He Would Fit In: Cato June called the Bills a great organization and knows the Tampa 2 scheme fits him well. He thinks this team is on the brink of being a championship team which is a great asset and a great way for him to continue his career if he signs with the Bills. He feels it would be an easy transition because the terminology is similar but it's all about fitting in with the players that are already in Buffalo. June had lots of success in Indianapolis and played with Tampa Bay last year. He was recently released. He would probably play the will linebacker spot in Buffalo. This was his first free agent visit.
Greer Heads To Sin City: Jabari Greer is now officially an ex-Bill. He has reportedly signed a deal to join the New Orleans Saints. His fate with the Bills was sealed when they signed Drayton Florence yesterday.
Bills Don't Get Coles: The Laveranues Coles saga is now over and as usual the Bills don't get their man. Coles has signed a four year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals worth a reported $28 Million. There were many unsubstantiated rumors that the Bills were offering a three year deal worth around $6 Million a year.
Chambers Re-Signing Official: The Bills made the re-signing of one of their own officially today. They announced that unrestricted free agent Kirk Chambers has re-signed with the team. We had reported last Thursday that he agreed to a deal but it now has been signed. Chambers could compete for a starting job at guard this year or stay as the main backup at the tackle position.
June, Foster Visiting: As reported yesterday LB Cato June is in town visiting with the Bills. The team confirmed he is in town and they also confirmed that RB DeShaun Foster is in town for a visit. The team continues to look at #3 RB options because of the possible suspension of Marshawn Lynch. RB Kevin Jones and LB Pat Thomas have also been rumored to be coming to town today but there is no confirmation at this point on their arrival.

Bills Turn To LB: Now it appears the Bills are turning their attention to linebackers in the 2nd wave of free agency. PFT is reporting they will meet with two of them tomorrow as former Bucs and Colts LB Cato June and Chiefs LB Pat Thomas are reportedly making the trip. June is a perfect fit for the cover two and it was thought the Bills would go after him when he left Indy. Thomas had nine starts last year. It seems like tomorrow will be a very busy day at One Bills Drive as we reported earlier RB Kevin Jones is also suppose to visit.
Bills Sign Florence: The Bills have reportedly signed their third free agent of the offseason as Drayton Florence reportedly agreed to a two year, $6.6 Million contract with the team. He visited last Thursday and was interested in going back to San Diego. He started 38 games for the Chargers at cornerback from 2005 - 2007. He played for Jacksonville last year gaining eight starts. The move likely shuts the door on Jabari Greer returning. Florence likely moves into the nickel role but should battle Leodis McKelvin for the starting job. He will also face a challenge from Ashton Youboty for the nickel spot. Depth Chart.
Coles Leaves Cincy: Laveranues Coles remains on the market as he reportedly left Cincinnati without a deal. Rumors are swirling that the Bills have given some unknown deadline to sign with the team so he can't use the Bills as leverage to drive up his price for other teams. Other rumors say the Bills have been in contact with his agent since he left Cincinnati. None of these reports have been substantiated at this point. Either way this should come to an end sooner rather than later.
Jones To Visit Tomorrow: Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Bills will entertain free agent RB Kevin Jones tomorrow. He is a former first round pick of the Detroit Lions and played for the Bears last year. The Bills continue to look at their options at the position because of Marshawn Lynch's issues.
Bills Officially Re-Sign McIntyre: The Bills made it official by re-signing FB Corey McIntyre today. It was move that was reported on Thursday. This means the fullback will be kept in the offense this season. Front Office Page.
Greer Still Possible: It is somewhat of a surprise that Jabari Greer remains on the market. Some thought he would quickly be gobbled up at the $8 Million a year range. The first wave of free agency is over and Greer likely won't be getting that much money which puts the Bills back in the picture although they were never out of it completely. Greer has visited with Detroit and Tampa Bay and the Bills still reportedly have a decent offer on the table. If he doesn't get a good offer from the Lions or Bucs he may just end up coming back to the Bills. If that happens expect 2009 to be the last year of Terrence McGee's career as a Bill. He's a free agent after this season. If Greer does go elsewhere the Bills should try to lock up McGee this offseason.
Coles In Cincy: The Dolphins are out of the race for Laveranues Coles but a new horse is in the race as Coles is scheduled to visit with the Bengals today, a day after they lost T.J. Houshmandzadeh to the Seahawks. The Vikings were also in the hunt for T.J. and they might also enter the race for Coles. The Bills were seen as frontrunners before Houshmandzadeh signed with Seattle.

Miami Not An Option For Coles? Several media reports say that Laveranues Coles will not be going to Miami as they are reportedly not interested in him. That may give the Bills the inside shot on getting him. The team seems interested in him and there doesn't seem to be other teams that interested right now as there aren't reports of other visits for him.
