Bills, Peters Still Far Apart
Extra Game In Toronto? Tim Graham on his ESPN.com's blog reports that there is a movement going on by the organizers of the Bills in Toronto organization to bring an extra regular season game to the ciy as early as next year. A survey was e-mailed to fans who bought tickets to last year's game stating that they have listened to fans and may be able to negotiate another game in 2010, 2011, and 2012 leaving the Bills with six games at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills have not commented on this survey.

Thomas Signing Official: The Bills made it official yesterday as they announced the signing of free agent LB Pat Thomas. He had a career high 54 tackles last year in Kansas City where he manned the middle before suffering a hamstring injury after nine games. He never regained his starting job. He may provide depth in the middle for Buffalo but more likely will give them an option on the outside. It is still unclear whether or not he is the outside linebacker they have been looking for or if he is just there for depth. Front Office Page.

Bills Add LB: The Buffalo News is reporting that the Bills have reached an agreement on a one year contract with free agent LB Pat Thomas. He is a five year veteran that started the first nine games of the season last year at middle linebacker for the Chiefs. He is better suited for the outside however and that is where the Bills likely project him. The Bills showed interest in Thomas early in free agency and there was a reported visit early in free agency that never happened. The Bills have yet to confirm the signing. Depth Chart.
Bucs Sign Crowell: One day after visiting with the Bills, Angelo Crowell has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The man who played his entire career in Buffalo will now head south as he tries to overcome missing the entire season with a knee injury.

Lynch Expects Suspension: It seems Marshawn Lynch learned one lesson from his latest off the field problem, he isn't hiding from the media. Lynch returned to Orchard Park on the heels of the team's offseason conditioning program that begins next week. He surprisingly held a press conference at One Bills Drive and admitted that they didn't handle the last incident right so he knew he had to step up to the plate this time. Lynch said he got a lot of insight out of his meeting with the Commissioner yesterday. Roger Goodell told him he will not tolerate anymore problems from him and it sunk in and he still can feel the words as the commissioner came down on him. He said he should find out in 10 days about a possible suspension but he feels he will be suspended because people felt he skated buy on the hit and run offense last year. He knows a suspension comes with the consequences. Lynch knows he has to show the fans and the commissioner that he has changed and will not have anymore incidents. He never intended to get into trouble but his road got rocky and now is the time to pave the road straight. He loves to play and doesn't want to give it up. He said he has a target on his back as an athlete and because of his issues. He knows people will be waiting to see him mess up again but that won't happen.

Lynch Meeting With Commissioner Over: Marshawn Lynch met with Commissioner Roger Goodell, as previously reported, today. The Bills acknowledged the meeting in a statement and the league also acknowledged a meeting took place. Lynch is likely to be suspended for this second off the field incident within a year. A decision should come in the coming weeks.
Crowell Visits Today: Angelo Crowell visited with the Bills today. He was previously reported to be visiting yesterday but the team confirmed he was touring the facilities today. This should have been a quick tour since Crowell has played his entire career with the Bills. Crowell also visited with Detroit and Tampa Bay and it may come down to finding out if his knee is now 100% for the team to offer him a contract.
Lynch To Meet With Commissioner: CBS Sports is reporting on their website that Marshawn Lynch is expected to meet with the commissioner today to talk about his latest run in with the law. He is expected to get suspended but sources in the article state that he is likely to only get suspended for one game maybe two at the most.

Colts Game Likely In Toronto Vic Carucci reported for NFL.com that a league source says the game this year in Toronto is likely to be the home game against Indianpolis. They have been hoping for a marquee name to come up North and now they will have two with Terrell Owens and Peyton Manning. The game likely will be in December again so it doesn't conflict with the CFL season but unlike last year that isn't in the deal as a requirement so it could be scheduled earlier but it is not likely. An announcement on the Toronto game can come as early as next week during the NFL owners meeting.
