Nix Gives State Of Bills Address
<>Super Bowl Matchup Set: There was two very exciting games on Championship Sunday and in the end it will be a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII when the Giants and Patriots meet in Indianapolis on February 5th. The Bills split two games with New England this year and lost a close matchup in the Meadowlands against the Giants. Bills Lose Assistant: Assistant Offensive Line coach Bobby Johnson has left the team to take the tight ends coaching job with the Jacksonville Jaguars. That opens up another hole on Chan Gailey's coaching staff. There are now two openings on the offensive staff as they need to fill the wide receiver's coaching spot and the assistant offensive line spot. They may also still need to add another linebacker coach that was vacated by Dave Wannstedt's promotion to defensive coordinator. They did add an assistant defensive line coach that wasn't on last year's staff. All the comings and goings are on our front office page.

Money In The Budget: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled his budget today and there are millions of dollars in it to help keep the Bills in Western New York. A specific amount of money was not disclosed but they would be part of a $84 Million fund that is to be shared by several economic development interests. The team is finishing up a report from an outside architecture firm that will decide how much is needed in improvements to Ralph Wilson Stadium. It's estimated that the team needs more than $100 Million to improve the stadium in part of new lease talks. The current lease expires in July of 2013.

Dareus All Rookie: Marcell Dareus was named to the All-Rookie team. He was one of two defensive tackles voted on by the Pro Football Writers Association and Pro Football Weekly.
