Bills Hold Mandatory Minicamp

Dareus Enters Program: Marcell Dareus should be accepted into a pre-trial intervention program within the next 30 days that could reduce, or even get rid of, the charges against him for possession of synthetic marijuana. His inclusion into the program should not effect his attendance at training camp. He is also due in court in Hamburg on Tuesday on the drag racing charge.

Individual Game Tickets: The Bills are putting individual game tickets on sale tomorrow morning at 9am but a presale is today with a promo code available to fans who sign up for email alerts from the team's website. Tickets are availble online through ticketmaster. This year games are priced on a tier basis. The Miami and New England home games are gold level, while their are four silver level games. Those are the matchups with the Chargers, Vikings, Jets, and Packers. The Chiefs and Browns game are bronze level games.

Latest On Team's Future: Governor Cuomo was in Buffalo yesterday and responded to a tweet from Donald Trump which said he is the only potential owner committed to keeping the team in Western New York. Cuomo basically laughed it off and did say he expects there to be several potential bidders who are committed to keeping the team in Buffalo. He called it a fluid process and the situation still has to unfold as people are considering bids. Cuomo also spoke about a possible new stadium saying that he is far from convinced a new stadium is needed. Nobody is anxious to pay for a new stadium and they are working hard to keeping costs down in the state and it would cost a lot to build one even if everyone contributes. He says if a new owner and the NFL says a new stadium is a condition to keeping the team in Buffalo than they will have to have money coming from a lot of sources to get it done.

Jim Kelly At Minicamp: Jim Kelly made a surprise appearance at today's final practice of the three day mandatory minicamp. He addressed the team before practice telling the it's a new era and he thinks they are a special team that can be playing in January. He led them in a chant of playoffs before sitting down and watching the session.

Sale Process Begins: John Kryk of the Toronto Sun is the first to report that the bidding process for the Bills is now underway. The Bills sent out a seven page non discloure agreement to prospective buyers yesterday. Once signed the team will distribute the sale book that contains all the pertinent financial information on the team.

Minicamp Day 2: Scott Chandler was the only player not in attendance during day two of the mandatory minicamp. He continues to be excused because of a family matter. Seantrel Henderson was back after travel issues kept him away yesterday. Cordy Glenn was back, but limited, after being out yesterday with an illness. 2nd round pick Cyrus Kouandjio took extra reps at left guard for a second straight day. Chris Hairston also took reps with the starting lineup at left guard for the second day in a row as well. Nickell Robey was shaken up after a highlight making interception in the end zone of EJ Manuel during a red zone drill.

Minicamp Day 1: Only three players were not on hand for day one of the mandatory minicamp yesterday. Scott Chandler was excused because of a family matter, Cordy Glenn is suffering from an illness, and Seantrel Henderson had travel issues. As expected Manny Lawson, Alan Branch, and Marcell Dareus were back with the team. Dareus will not be made available to the media this week as the team wants him concentrating on football. Doug Whaley is planning on meeting with his troubled star on Thursday to make sure they are on the same page. Kyle Williams is taking a tough love approach when dealing with Dareus. Lawson said his absence from the voluntary OTAs were so he can stay sharp and be rejuvenated without doing the same thing over and over again after many years of playing. Stephon Gilmore and Leodis McKelvin each took some first team reps as they battle back from hip surgeries. Marquise Goodwin left practice early but didn't appear hurt, it may have been a heat issue.

Minicamp Begins Today: The only mandatory event of the offseason begins today and runs through Thursday as the entire team convenes for the three day minicamp. Alan Branch and Manny Lawson are expected in town for the first time this offseason as neither player has taken part in the offseason conditioning program or the voluntary OTAs. Marcell Dareus is also expected to be back after sitting out the past couple of weeks after a mutual decision between him and Doug Marrone. Dareus was originally expected in court today on his drag racing charges but that date has been postponed until July 1st.
