More Ownership Speculation As Draft Nears
More Ownership Speculation: More rumors and speculaton regarding the future ownership of the Buffalo Bills. The associated press reports that the team may have a new owner as early as July with a chance for league approval by October's owners meetings. This report comes on the heels of the ramped up efforts of Governor Cuomo's administration on coming up with plans for a new stadium. The new stadium working group is expected to take a year or more to come up with plans but Cuomo has retained a law firm with a "ringer" that could have possible new stadium sites in 90 days. Another report by AP says a potential owner as already looked at potential stadium sites. The Buffalo News reports that Russ Brandon was seen having dinner with former Sabres owner Tom Golisano on Thursday. Golisano has always said he would get involved in possibly buying the Bills if there was a chance they would leave Western New York.

New Potential Buyer: Another New York real estate billionare is showing interest in buying the Bills. The associated press reports that sources say Howard Milstein is very interested in buying the team would definitely keep them in Western New York. Milstein in the past tried to buy the Browns and the Redskins. Those failed bids may make it an uphill climb for Milstein to gain approval from the league owners. He previously owned the New York Islanders and is a close ally to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. He owns a 142-acre plot of land in downtown Niagara Falls that has been mentioned as a potential site for a new Bills stadium but reportedly won't be involved in his bid. He also would look to buy the team all on his own which the league prefers. WGRZ reports that the Jacobs family is still very much in the mix and that Jim Kelly is talking to a half of dozen groups before deciding which one he will join.

1st Round Mock: Every year we do a first round mock draft. This year we have added a couple of trades including having the Bills wheel and deal. We have the Bills moving up to the 4th spot to take Sammy Watkins. Going by the draft trade value chart we figure it would cost the Bills their 2nd round pick to move up five spots and they could get the Browns 5th round pick in return. 1st Round Mock Draft.

State Moves To Keep Bills: The administration for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has retained the law firm Foley & Lardner, and specifically the law firm's partner Irwin Raij for the purpose of assisting the state in keeping the Bills from relocated. It was an extension of a previous agreement as Raij helped the state with the current Bills lease. The firm is suppose to help facilitate plans for possible new stadium locations that would give them a solid plan for when a new owner comes on board.

Individual Game Ticket Pricing: The Bills revealed the pricing structure for individual game tickets which will go on sale on June 27th. Group sales will be a week earlier with season ticket holders getting first shot at individual game tickets sometime in early June. This year for the first time there will be a tiered ticketing plan. There are two gold games which are the Patriots games on Oct. 12th and the home opener against Miami. The next level is four silver games which includes the Chargers game on Sept. 21st, The Vikings matchup on Oct. 19th, The Jets game on Nov. 23rd and the lone december home game against the Packers. The two bronze level games are the November home games against the Chiefs and the Browns. The preseason games will have their own tier which of course will be the least expensive tickets.

Pre Draft Visits Done: Yesterday was the last day NFL teams were allowed to bring in pre draft visitors from out of town colleges. Each team was allowed 30 visits and the Bills used 29 of them. Pre draft visits really don't mean too much except for the fact that the last four top picks of the Bills were all pre draft visitors. Pre Draft Visits.
