Schedule Released: The NFL schedule is out and there are quirks as there usually is. The Bills open up the season on the road in Baltimore and close it out on New Year's day at the Meadowlands giving fans a chance to spend New Year's Eve in Times Square. They will host the Jets in their first primetime homegame since 2012 when Gang Green comes to the Ralph on Thursday night September 15th. Their only other primetime game takes place in Seattle on Monday night November 7th. They once again don't have a Sunday night game on the schedule but that could change when games get flexed late in the season. The Bills have three straight home games in December against Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Miami. They have 12 1pm starts, two West coast games start in the 4pm hour and the two primetime games. The team plays no games against teams coming off of a bye. Three games come against teams with extra rest as the they play the Patriots and 49ers after they play Thursday night games and Miami after a Saturday game. Bills Schedule.

Roster Update: The Bills have now signed eight unrestricted free agents this offseason to go along with 11 other players signed to reserve or futures contract. The 19 newest Bills are offset by the loss of 15 players who were on the roster last year. (You can get a complete look at all the offseason transactions in one place on our Front Office Page.) That leaves the team with 75 men on the roster leaving 15 spots open for their 8 draft picks and any undrafted players they want to sign. Of course the number of draft picks may change with any trades that happen and they can still sign or release other NFL players to stay at or below the limit. Depth Chart.

Bills Sign Two Special Teamers: The Bills signed the two free agents they hosted on Friday to bolster their special teams. LB Lorenzo Alexander and S Colt Anderson are the newest Bills. Both played heavy roles on special teams in the past. Alexander played for Oakland last year and is considered a solid special teams player earning a pro bowl berth in that role for Washington in 2012. He was with Arizona in 2013 and 2014. Anderson played mostly on special teams in Indianapolis the past two years. Anderson could add depth to the safety unit and Alexander could see some action in a reserve role at linebacker.

McCoy Reportedly Won't Face League Discipline: Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that while the NFL's investigation is ongoing, LeSean McCoy is not expected to face discplinary action from the league for the bar brawl on February 7th that he was involved in. The Philadelphia district attorney announced last week he would not face criminal charges for the incident. That did not necessarily preclude him from being fined or suspended by the NFL. The DA said there wasn't enough evidence to charge him since they are uncertain who was acting in self defense. The DA feels he was helping his friend. This is a sigh of relief for the Bills as it won't be weighing on them during the draft later this month.

Two More FA Visitors: The Bills hosted two free agents on Friday that they are likely looking at to help on special teams. LB Lorenzo Alexander and S Colt Anderson were in town. Both played heavy roles on special teams in the past. Alexander played for Oakland last year and is considered a solid special teams player. He was with Arizona for two years before that. Anderson played mostly on special teams in Indianapolis the past two years.
Preseason Schedule Announced: The NFL announced the preseason schedule and the Bills have no national games this summer. They will play the first two preseason games against Indianapolis and the New York Giants at Ralph Wilson Stadium. They will play their final two exhibition games on the road in Washington and Detroit. The exact dates will be announced at a later date. The first preseason game will be anywhere from Aug. 11th to 15th. They will host the Giants between Aug. 18th and 22nd. They will play in Washington between Aug. 25th and 28th and close out in Detroit either Sept. 1st or 2nd.

Bills Sign FA Center: The Bills welcomed a rare offensive player to town for a free agent visit today and center Fernando Velasco finished his visit with a contract to play for the Bills. He will add depth behind Eric Wood at center and can also play guard. He has 38 career starts and played in Carolina the past two years. The Bills only had Ronald Patrick behind Wood. He can fill the role Kraig Urbik did last year. Depth Chart.
Tarpley Retires: In a surprising move, LB A.J. Tarpley has announced his retirement from the NFL at the age of 23. The undrafted free agent had some success as a rookie last year but announced his retirmeent on his instagram account citing his third and fourth concussions as the reason. He wrote, "I am walking away from the game I love to preserve my future health. This decision is the hardest I've made yet but after much research and contemplation I believe it's what is best for me going forward." Tarpley figured to have a good role with the team as they are thin in the middle of their linebacking corps. Front Office Page.

Bills Add Another Corner: The Bills signed their fourth low level free agent of the week and their second cornerback with the signing of Sterling Moore. He has played five seasons in the NFL including last year in Tampa Bay. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Patriots in 2011. He made a game saving play as a rookie in the AFC Championship game knocking the ball away from Lee Evans. He also played for Dallas and has 9 starts in his career with 124 career tackles, four interceptions, 25 passes defensed and five forced fumbles. He adds more depth at the cornerback position and will battle also newly signed Corey White for a possible roster spot. Front Office Page.

Bills Sign Both Visitors: The Bills announced this afternoon that they signed both free agent visitors today. Zach Brown and Corey White are both now members of the Bills. The team also officially announced the re-signing of Leondard Hankerson. That deal was first reported over a week ago. Brown spent all four seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans after being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2012 draft. He is a good fit for Rex Ryan's scheme and has a chance to earn the starting job at middle linebacker next to Preston Brown. His deal will not preclude them from drafting an insider backer early in the draft but it may help them look at other needs. White is a role player who can add depth at cornerback but will have to produced on special teams to stick on the final roster. Hankerson joins the mix of players fighting for the number three receiver role. Depth Chart.
McCoy Not Charged: The Philadelphia district attorney offically announced that LeSean McCoy will not face charges for the bar brawl on February 7th that he was involved in. He still may face disciplinary charges from the league under the personal conduct policy. The DA said there wasn't enough evidence to charge him since they are uncertain who was acting in self defense. The DA feels he was helping his friend.
Two Free Agent Visits: The team is hosting two more free agent visitors on Monday as LB Zach Brown and CB Corey White are at One Bills Drive. Brown has been with the Titans during the first four years of his career. He was a 2nd round pick who plays inside linebacker and is athletic enough to drop into coverage which makes him a fit for Ryan's scheme. He can be an option since Bruce Carter, who visited last week, signed with the Jets. White also came into the league in 2012 as a fifth round pick of the Saints. He played for both the Cowboys and Cardinals last year. He would add depth to the cornerbacks corps.
