No Comp Picks: As expected the Bills will not have any compensatory picks in this year's draft. To get the extra draft picks you need to lose more free agents than you signed and that did not happen this year. Brandon Beane said he will be mindful of the possibility of gaining extra comp picks next year.

Taylor Not Getting Cut: Ian Rapoport reports that the Bills are not planning to cut Tyrod Taylor and are willing to pay his $6 Million roster bonus on the third day of the new league year. They will pay it and then see what happens which could still include a trade or releasing him if they get a solid replacement. Paying the bonus makes it a one year, $10 Million deal which makes it more palatable for another team if they trade him. Basically they are paying $6 Million to keep their options open. It also can be posturing to other teams that assume the Bills will evenutally cut him.

FA Visit: Adam Schefter reports that the Bills are hosting an early free agent visitor today. Former Colts DB Vontae Davis was reportedly in town today. He was released by Indianapolis on November 9th and has since recovered from core-injury surgery done late in the season. This could be an indication that the Bills aren't planning on re-signing E.J. Gaines as his asking price will likely be quite high and he has a history of injuries.

Bills Hire Three: The Bills added three new members of the administration today including a new head trainer. The team hired Nate Breske to replace Shone Gipson as the head athletic trainer. Gipson was fired two weeks ago. Breske was the head trainer with the Bears the past three years and speent seven years with the 49ers before that. The team also hired Luis Guilamo as the Director of Analytics and Application Development. He has consulted for the Miami Marlins in the past. Jeff Mueller is the new Video Director, he spent the past 20 years with the Carolina Panthers so he is well known by Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott. Front Office Page.
Bills Hire WR Coach: The Bills didn't waste long replacing Phil McGeoghan's WR coach spot. The team announced they have hired Terry Robiskie to fill the role vacated by McGeoghan after he took the same position with the Chargers. Robiskie has been the offensive coordinator for the Titans the past two years and served as the WR coach of the Falcons from 2008 to 2015 where he coached both Roddy White and Julio Jones. He has 36 years experience coaching in the NFL including 12 years with the Raiders. He also has stops in Washington, Cleveland, and Miami. He served as interim head coach with the Browns and the Redskins. Front Office Page.

Bills Lose WR Coach: The Bills have lost WR coach Phil McGeoghan to Anthony Lynn's staff with the Chargers. It is a lateral move for McGeoghan and according to Mike Rodak of ESPN he was not let go by the Bills but they agreed to let him go anyway. He spent one year in Buffalo after being the East Carolina receivers coach in 2016. The Bills receivers didn't have a great year in 2017 so the Bills were likely not too upset with letting him move on. Alex Marvez of Sports Illustrated reports that the Bills have begun interviewing replacements as they have talked to veteran assistants Terry Robiskie and Jimmy Robinson. Robiskie has been the offensive coordinator for the Titans the past two years and Marvez reports he is under consideration for at least one other NFL job. Robinson spent five seasons with the Cowboys before leaving after the 2015 season. Front Office Page.

Bills Don't Lose Frazier: Leslie Frazier will not be going to Indianapolis as the Colts have landed former Bill Frank Reich as their new head coach. Frazier interviewed for the position yesterday but they obviously wanted an offensive mind coach. Getting Reich from the Super Bowl Champions gives the Colts a total class act after they were left at the alter by the totally selfish Josh McDaniels. They may very well look at it as a blessing since Reich is twice the man McDaniels is.

Bills Add Another Alabama Assistant: There are now three members of Nick Saban's coaching staff in Alabama on the Bills coaching staff. The Bills have hired Bama analyst Shea Tierney as an offensive assistant on Brain Daboll's staff. The Bills added William Vlachos as an Assistant coach to Daboll last week. So he has two coaches that were with him in Alabama assisting him. Front Office Page.

Bills Could Lose Dawson: Bills assistant college scouting director Luke Dawson had a second interview for the Panthers head coaching job according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. He is considered a strong candidate to get that job. The hiring of a GM may be held up as the NFL is investigating the owner Jerry Richardson who is in the process of selling the team. If the Panthers eventuall hire Lawson he would be the second member of the Bills front office to get a GM job this year. Brian Gaine got the Texans top job a month ago.

Colts Looking At Frazier: Figures the Patriots screwed over the Colts in the Josh McDaniel debacle and now as a bonus they may get to screw over the Bills. Ian Rapoport was the first to report, and it has been confirmed by many, that the Colts have requested permission to interview Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier for their head coaching job and the Bills have granted it. Reportedly Colts Owner Jim Irsay is a big fan of Frazier and he has a history with the Colts as he was an assistant head coach on their Super Bowl winning team. He would be a good fit because his defensive philosophy matches already hired defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus who was brought in to work with McDaniels before he selfishly backed out at the 11th hour. He also has head coaching experience and is someone to steady the ship. Other candidates for the position are Frank Reich, Dan Campbell, John DeFilippo, Dave Toub, and Tom Cable. If the Bills lose Frazier they will have the Patriots to thank and will have to fill their top defensive coaching spot very late in the game.

Ticket Prices Going Up: The Bills finally ended the playoff drought and now they can feel better about raising ticket prices. After not raising them for the 2017 season season ticket prices will go up about 3% on average in the 2018 season according to the Buffalo News. Season ticket holders got the new pricing structure in a letter available today.
