Week 10: Bills vs. Cowboys
at
Sunday, Nov. 13th
1:00pm ET
The Bills look to get back on track with their first of three straight road games as they travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. They hope to get the offense moving after being shutdown by Rex Ryan and the Jets. They hope to have better luck against the defense run by his twin brother Rob. You can bet the two Ryan Brothers have discussed the blueprint in stopping the Bills high powered offense.

INJURY UPDATE

The Bills are very banged up as they have probably lost Kyle Williams for the season. They will be without Rian Lindell, Demeterius Bell, and Chris Kelsay in this game as well. Lindell suffered a shoulder injury against the Jets and Bell remains out with a shoulder injury of his own. Kelsay re-aggravated a calf injury and will miss his fourth game in the last five. CB Aaron Williams has a chance at returning to action this week and OT Chris Hairston looks like he will serve as the backup at left tackle again as he comes back from a high ankle sprain but he does have a chance to start.

The Cowboys will be without one of their best players as WR Miles Austin is out 2-4 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury last week in their win over Seattle. The Cowboys likely will be without RB Felix Jones again, He has been sidelined with an ankle injury. CB Mike Jenkins remains out with a hamstring injury. LB Sean Lee is suffering from a wrist injury and is practicing with it heavily wrapped. OG Kyle Kosier is missing practice time this week with a foot injury. P Mat McBriar is slowed by a nerve problem in his foot.

Check out our Bills Daily Injury Page throughout the week for the latest updates on the injured players.

KEY MATCHUPS

NT Marcell Dareus vs. C Phil Costa:
Dareus has a good matchup against the first year starter at center for the Cowboys. It's a battle of two good, young players that the Bills top pick can win.

RB Fred Jackson vs. LB Sean Lee:
Jackson looks to rebound after a slightly down outing last week. Lee is the Cowboys leading tackler and returns from a wrist injury. He will likely play with a heavy bandage or cast. It will be interesting to see if that hurts his tackling ability and technique.

LT Andy Levitre vs. LB DeMarcus Ware:
Hairston likely will remain the backup as he recovers from a high ankle sprain. That will leave this incredibly tough matchup against Ware to Levitre who has little experience at tackle. Ware is second in the league with 12 sacks. The Bills will have to give him help with LG Chad Rinehart and Jackson.

S George Wilson vs. TE Jason Witten:
Wilson will likely get the assignment of the Cowboys dangerous tight end on most plays although LB Nick Barnett may have him at times. Witten leads the Cowboys in catches and yards and the Bills have historically struggled against big time tight ends.

WR David Nelson vs. His Girlfriend:
This one is tongue in cheek of course. Nelson's girlfriend is a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader bringing a little more intrigue to this game.

KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Stop the run: Dallas rookie RB DeMarco Murray has been red hot, rushing for 466 yards in his last three games since taking over the main running role. If Felix Jones does not return to the lineup, Murray will get even more work.
2. Success in the kicking game: It will be interesting to see how the Bills do with a kicker other than Lindell for the first time in nine years. Dave Rayner may be the difference in a tight game, will he come through if given the chance?
3. Get Spiller Involved: He was the ninth overall pick in last year's draft and he is an afterthought in this offense. Get him the ball about a dozen times in space while keeping Fred Jackson as the workhorse.

BILLS DAILY PREDICTION

The Cowboys are favored in this game and on paper the Bills may not match up well with them. Traveling to Dallas will make it that much tougher but I have a feeling the Bills will be determined to play their best game after last week's debacle. They pull out the upset in a shootout in Big D:
Bills 33, Cowboys 30

Season Prediction Record: (2-6)
Season Record Against The Spread: (3-5)
