INJURY UPDATE

The Bills will be without Aaron Williams with a calf injury and Rian Lindell who remains sidelined with a broken bone in his shoulder. Jairus Byrd is battling a shin injury and has missed practice time this week. George Wilson looks like he may return after being sidelined with a neck injury. The team also hopes to have Scott Chandler in the lineup but he has missed practice time with an ankle injury.

The Chargers were without LB Na’il Diggs last week with a chest injury but he should be ready to return. LB Donald Butler missed some time in the win over Jacksonville with a foot injury and has missed practice time this week. S Darrell Stuckey has a groin injury.

Check out our Bills Daily Injury Page throughout the week for the latest updates on the injured players.

KEY MATCHUPS

LB Arthur Moats vs. LT Jared Gaither:
Moats is used as a situational pass rusher. He can have success against Gaither who will be thrown into the fire protecting the blind side after being picked up off of waivers a week ago.

LB Nick Barnett vs. RB Ryan Matthews:
The 2nd year pro is starting to come into his own. It will be up to the Bills veteran linebacker to keep him at bay.

RB C.J. Spiller vs. LB Takeo Spikes:
Spiller will look to build on his good game last week but will have to watch out for the ex-Bill who leads the Chargers in tackles. He could have help if Butler doesn't play with his injury.

WR Stevie Johnson vs. CB Quentin Jammer:
Johnson goes up against the wily veteran Jammer. Should be a good matchup that Johnson needs to win for the Bills to win this game.

KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Get Pressure On Rivers: I know the Bills haven't been able to get pressure on opposing QBs this year except the Redskins game. They may have a chance this week as Philip Rivers has been sacked 28 times.
2. Run The Ball: They can't put the running game into mothballs like they did last week. They need to run the ball even if they fall behind to keep the Chargers offense off the field.
3. Get An Early Lead: If they accomplish this goal than the other two keys will be easier to be successful at.

BILLS DAILY PREDICTION

The Bills have lost five straight games and the only chance I see them winning another game this year is this week. Unfortunately the way they are reeling I don't see them going across the country and have enough focus to pull this one out:
Chargers 31, Bills 14

Season Prediction Record: (3-9)
Season Record Against The Spread: (3-9)
