Bills Wrap Up First Week Of OTA

Travis Henry OTA Gives Time To Details: The organized team activity is a time to emphasize one offensive situation each practice. This gives the players extra work in each situation. That is something that can't happen at trainign camp when the pace is much more hectic. Drew Bledsoe says that has given the players a better grasp of the offensive than this time this year. The first week of the workouts was also a time to re-install the offense for the third time for the veterans and the second time for the rookies, this should help with the consistency Bledsoe says.

Bills Waive Robertson: The Bills have waived offensive tackle Bernard Robertson. He had signed with the team in December but did not play last year. He was previously with the Bears.

Henry Absent: Jeff Morrison reported for Empire that Travis Henry was a no show at the organized team activity all week. Since it is a voluntary camp there can be no punishment. No word on if Henry plans on coming to Buffalo for the next three weeks of camp or why he wasn't there this week. All other players were in attendance. Willis McGahee got some extra reps in Henry's absence but he also wasn't there today as he had an excused absence from the coaching staff. He was at the workouts Monday through Wednesday. Sam Adams also missed Thursday's workout.

Posey, Reed Hobbled: Howard Simon, on the Simon & Brinson show reported for Empire that Jeff Posey missed today's workout and Josh Reed was limited with injuries. Posey rolled an ankle in a workout earlier in the week. This was the only day of the week that the media was allowed to observe practice. Simon also noted that the tight ends and wide receivers looked impressive, specifically Sam Aiken, Tim Euhus and Jason Peters. Injury Page.

McFarland Signs: The Bills are trying to get draft picks signed early this year. They have reached an agreement with the first of their two seventh round picks. Dylan McFarland is officially in the fold making him the second of the team's six draft picks to sign. Terms were not disclosed but it is most likely a three year deal for the rookie minimum with a small signing bonus.

Players Get Busy: The players are back to work this week as the team kicks off four weeks of organzied team activities. They are doing drills in helmets and shorts with no pads as they prepare for training camp that begins in late July. The team will workout this week through Thursday and will be back on the field next week from Wednesday through Friday after getting a break for the Memorial day weekend. They will then workout Monday through Thursday the first week of June and then Monday through Wednesday June 14th through 16th.
