Losman To Start Next Week: Dick Jauron didn't wait to release a Tuesday statement this week. He announced in his Monday press conference that the team is sticking with J.P. Losman this week. Jauron admitted that Trent Edwards is 100% healthy but he's sticking with Losman anyway. Jauron said the reason they lost clearly wasn't because of Losman. They will look to correct his errors but he also did some good things.
Lynch Likely Out Again: Dick Jauron also said today that he's not optimistic about Marshawn Lynch's chances of playing this Sunday against Jacksonville. While Jauron wouldn't count Lynch out just yet he called it a substantial injury and sprain. He said Lynch is young and different and is a fast healer. He seems to have a high ankle sprain and that is usually at least a four week injury. Lynch is determined to get back on the field as quickly as possible, hoping he'd play against the Patriots right up until Saturday. Lynch had the immobilizer boot off yesterday. Jauron said Anthony Thomas will continue to get the majority of the reps in Lynch's absence. Injury Page.
Everett Inspirational Speech: Kevin Everett tried to fire up the troops for the big game, it didn't help. Everett had a quick speech that was videotaped and played on the jumbotron and on NBC before the game. He continues his improvement and is back home after being released from the hospital this week. He now enters the next phase of his rehabilitation.
Failing Grades: The defense was downright awful against the best offense of our time. The offense didn't help either and neither did the special teams. The grades are ugly this week. Gameday Grades.
Bills Rocked By Pats: How bad was it? It was the most lopsided loss in team history as they lost 56-10 in a game where the Patriots ran up the score going for it twice on fourth down after already being up 35-10. The 56 points were the most allowed by a home team in 34 years in the NFL and tied for the 2nd most amount of points ever given up by the Bills. This game was over midway through the 2nd quarter when the Patriots scored three touchdowns in the period. Randy Moss caught four touchdowns in the first half alone. Game Review.
Injury Update: The one bit of good news in the loss was the Bills appeared to get out of the game without any new serious injuries. Injury Page.

Lynch Inactive: As expected Marshawn Lynch is inactive for tonight's game against the Patriots. His high ankle sprain did not allow him to practice all week making this a foregone conclusion. One more surprise inactive is Ryan Neufeld. He was the main H-back for the team last week that means newly signed Brad Cieslak will get the nod when they need a fullback. Also inactive are: Leon Joe, Tim Massaquoi, Copeland Bryan, Jason Jefferson and Christian Gaddis. Gibran Hamdan is the emergency third QB.
Lynch Honored: Marshawn Lynch was honored for hit touchdown and two point conversion in Buffalo's win over Miami last week. He got the Diet Pepsi Rookie Of The Week Honors. He is the fourth two time winner of the award this year.
Weather Turns Colder For Primetime Affair: A November primetime game at Ralph Wilson Stadium is bound to be a bit chilly and that will be the case tonight. It will be mostly cloudy with almost no chance of rain or snow. The gametime temperature will be 34° but it will feel like 26°. Winds will be out of the East Northeast at 10mph so it won't be much of a factor either.

Nickel Corner An Issue: One of the big disadvantages the Bills have tomorrow night against New England is in the nickel defense package. With Kiwaukee Thomas out the Bills say they will go with either Jeramius Butler or Ashton Youboty in the slot on the nickel. This is very important because the third receiver for the Patriots is Wes Welker and he leads the team in receptions. Look for the Bills to possibly go with a wrinkle they talked about in training camp. Donte Whitner may see some time in the slot at cornerback with Jim Leonhard and George Wilson manning the safety spots.

Lynch Doubtful: Marshawn Lynch did not practice for a third straight day and has been listed as doubtful for Sunday's game. There is very little chance he'll play, as we reported yesterday Dick Jauron said he won't play if he doesn't practice. It is a bit of a surprise he just didn't list him as out. There is an outside chance he will test his ankle tomorrow but it is not expected. Robert Royal practiced fully today and will play. Injury Page.

Lynch Injury Likely High Ankle Sprain: Dick Jauron admitted on his weekly spot on Sirius NFL radio that it appears to be a high ankle sprain that had Marshawn Lynch hobbled. Lynch has not been in attendance at practice this week and Jauron said he is in an immoblized boot. He also indicated that if Lynch can't practice this week he won't play him even if he's doing better on Sunday.
Schobel Practices: Aaron Schobel returned to practice and participated fully today after missing yesterday's workout with a stomach virus. Robert Royal returned on a limited basis as he is recovering from a concussion. He is following the same pattern as John DiGiorgio did last week with his concussion so it looks good for Royal to play. Injury Page.
Tickets Remain: The Bills gave the media an update yesterday on the amount of tickets available for the last two home games against Miami on December 9th and the Giants on December 23rd. There are approximately 4,000 seats left for the Miami game and 5,000 seats for the Giants game.

Coach Not Optimistic About Lynch: Marshawn Lynch, Robert Royal, and Aaron Schobel did not take part in practice today. In his media day press conference, Dick Jauron said Schobel has a stomach virus and Royal is still out with his concussion. The coach is not optimistic that Lynch will be able to play as his ankle is still really sore. They hope he can heal quickly but it looks like he will be out. It's not what you would describe as a basketball sprain that players come back quick from. The coach would not call it a high ankle sprain but it appears to be in that area. If he can't go, they will mix in Anthony Thomas, Fred Jackson, and Dwayne Right. They believe the guys they have will be able to play and perform well. The coach expects Ashton Youboty to be active this week to replace the injured Kiwaukee Thomas. Injury Page.
Practice Squad Swap: The Bills used the open roster spot from last week's IR move by promoting OL Christian Gaddis. They filled his spot on the practice squad by signing FB Jonathan Evans. He was most recently with Tennessee but didn't make the roster. He played in Europe in 2006 making six starts. The opening on the roster was created when Derek Schouman went on IR last week. Depth Chart.
Bills Add Two TEs: The Bills addressed their depleted tight ends situation by adding Brad Cieslak and Tim Massaquoi to the roster. They made room by placing Matt Murphy and Kiwaukee Thomas on injured reserve. The team now has 12 players on the injured list. Murphy suffered a torn calf muscle in practice last week and Thomas suffered a groin injury against Miami. Cieslak was on the team last year and this summer. The team now has five tight ends which is needed since they double as H-backs in the Bills offense. Massaquoi was with Miami last year and appeared in eight games.
Bills Look For Monumental Upset: The Bills are flying high but the Patriots are flying higher as their quest for an undefeated season continues in primetime at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Do the Bills have a chance? It doesn't appear so but the emotions will run high and the Bills may be able to give the Patriots a slight scare. Game Preview.

Losman To Start: Dick Jauron released his weekly statement regarding the quarterback situation today. He announced that J.P. Losman will remain the starter for this week's game against the Patriots.
Ugly Win: The win over Miami was ugly that is for sure. Tony Bogyo takes a last look back at how ugly the win is and laments about the future despite the team's winning streak. Complete Story.
Waiting On QB Decision: Dick Jauron said yesterday he pretty much knows who he will start at quarterback against New England but didn't share it with the media. He says he needs to talk to a lot of people still before announcing the decision on Wednesday as is the usual procedure. Of course that has meant a statement will likely be released later today telling everyone who will start. Stay tuned...

Lynch To Have MRI: Marshawn Lynch sounded optimistic today that he will be ready to play on Sunday night against New England. The team isn't as optimistic as him and have sent Lynch for an MRI to see the extent of the damage. They don't think there is a break but want to be sure. Lynch was still sore and hobbling around a bit at the complex today. Injury Page.
Day Off: As has become custom during the Bills four game winning streak, Dick Jauron is giving the players an extra day off today. That doesn't mean they will take the day off. Many players talked after the win over Miami that they will be at the facilities today to look at film in preparation for the upcoming game with the undefeated Patriots. Many players also plan on spending extra time watching film together on their own during the week at a player's home at night to get ready to try and pull off the monumental upset.
Trash Talking: The theme of the post game press conference was trash talking. Many Dolphins reportedly were trash talking which is a surprise considering they are winless. They obviously though they were going to get their first win and all the talk got the Bills fired up for the fourth quarter comeback.
