Bills Sign Long Snapper
Jackson Feels Deal Will Get Done: Fred Jackson appeared on Sirius NFL Radio today and said he expects a contract extension with the Bills to get done before the season starts. He wouldn't be surprised if it got done soon. Jackson has been tendered an offer as an exclusive rights free agent meaning the Bills have total right to him. Jackson wants a long term deal because he can be in the same boat next year if it becomes an uncapped year. He stayed away from the early part of the offseason conditioning program but did participate after the first couple of weeks.

Ticket Sales Good: The Buffalo News is reporting that the Bills are over 50,000 season tickets for the coming season. They are ahead of last year's pace when they had over 56,000 season tickets. That was the second most all-time. So it seems the fans continue to support this team no matter what despite the recession and nine straight losing seasons. The signing of Terrell Owens obviously is paying off at the box office and seems to be well worth the $6.5 Million it is costing them.
DiGiorgio, Ellis Improving: The team's website is reporting that John DiGiorgio is closing in on being 100 percent but it appears he won't hit the practice field until training camp. He has been ruled out of the upcoming OTAs and there is an outside chance he will do some work in next month's mandatory mini-camp. The team is being cautious and dont' want to rush it. He is still working on getting his flexibility back but is running and cutting. Chris Ellis is expected to take part in the OTAs. He missed the last half of his rookie season with an ankle injury. They will also wear them on opening night Sept 14th against New England, Nov. 15th at Tennessee, and Nov. 29th against Miami at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
