Bills Blitz: Miami scored 19 unanswered second half points to defeat the Bills 22-9 at Sun Life Stadium. The win puts Miami in sole possession of 2nd place in the AFC East and in all likelihood ends the Bills playoff hopes for a 15th consecutive year. The Bills were able to move the ball early but their red zone woes reared its ugly head once again as the team failed on both chances inside the Dolphins 20 yard line. Dan Carpenter hit his first three field goal attempts to give the Bills a 9-3 lead early in the third quarter before Miami took over. Ryan Tannehill threw two touchdown passes and Miami was the benefit of a questionable safety call to pull away in this game. Kyle Orton was called for intentional grounding in the end zone when he had Sammy Watkins about five yards away from the pass. Bills Blitz.
Injury Update: Leodis McKelvin left the game in the first half with an ankle injury and did not return. His return was listed as questionable originally after he got hurt while missing a tackle on a long run by Lamar Miller. He was ruled out at halftime. Marcell Dareus, Manny Lawson, and Aaron Williams also got shaken up. Dareus and Lawson returned but Williams left late in the game. Kyle Orton injured a toe in the game according to Doug Marrone. Injury Page.
Jackson Sits Out: Fred Jackson was a surprise inactive with his groin injury after he was able to play through the groin tear on Sunday against Kansas City. He did practice on a limited basis this week but obviously wasn't ready to go. Doug Marrone confirmed he aggravated the injury against the Chiefs which cost him time on the field in the 2nd half. Marquise Goodwin is also inactive after injuring his Ribs against the Chiefs. Ron Brooks will not play he was also questionable with a groin injury. Marcus Easley is active after missing six games with a sprained MCL. Sammy Watkins is active as expected. Jairus Wynn is inactive after being ruled out yesterday. Mike Williams is active for the Bills and could be a huge help in the red zone. The other inactives are Cyrus Kouandjio, Randell Johnson, and Phillip Tanner. Cyril Richardson is active after sitting last week.
Nice Night For Football: The weather will be beautiful in South Florida for tonight's game. It will be played under mostly clear skies with a gametime temperature of 73° with light winds out of the Northeast at 6 mph. It is much better for the Bills then playing them under the blazing sunshine of a Sunday 1:00 game.

Wynn Out; Watkins Probable; Jackson Questionable: The final injury report has been released and Jairus Wynn has been ruled out for the Bills while Sammy Watkins is listed as probable. The four players that have been limited in practice this week Fred Jackson, Marquise Goodwin, Marcus Easley, and Ron Brooks are all listed as questionable. It would be a surprise if Jackson doesn't play after he gutted through the Chiefs game on Sunday. The others will likely all be gametime decisions. Injury Page.
Johnson Promoted: As expected the Bills used the open spot on their roster to activate a defensive end from the practice squad. Bryan Johnson was promoted to the 53 man roster because of the knee injury suffered by Jairus Wynn that left them with just three healthy ends. Front Office Page.
Need To Get Williams In Lineup: I went on a bit of a twitter rant yesterday on why I have grown tired of the Doug Marrone regime at One Bills Drive and it centers around the stubborness of not playing certian players. If Mike Williams does not play this week Marrone is being ridiculous and stubborn. Coaches lose jobs with that mentality because it breeds losses. Williams is a huge threat in an area they are struggling in. It's the same as Marrone's approach with Kraig Urbik he resisted playing him when he obviously was their best option at guard. Those examples and the mind blowing conservative calls is making me down on Marrone for the first time in his time in Buffalo. With the red zone troubles the team has how do you not give Williams a shot to help? You would think he learned his lesson now that the offensive line is playing at least marginally better with Urbik in the lineup.

Bills Release Couplin: The Bills have released recently signed Jerome Couplin to open up a roster spot which may be used to promote a defensive end off of the practice squad. Jairus Wynn missed practice for a second straight day with a knee injury. Sammy Watkins was listed as a full participant Monday and Tuesday with Fred Jackson, Ron Brooks, Marquise Goodwin, and Marcus Easley being limited both days. Injury Page.
Must Win Thursday: Thursday's game against the Dolphins is a must win for two teams coming off of devastating losses on Sunday. The Bills have done well against Miami the past few years and will need to keep that up in a big road primetime matchup. Game Preview.
Watkins Fine: The Bills held just a walk through at the stadium yesterday but had to release an injury report like they fully practiced. Sammy Watkins would have been a full participant with Fred Jackson, Ron Brooks, Marquise Goodwin, and Marcus Easley being limited if the team held a full practice. Jairus Wynn is the only one who would not have practiced at all after injuring his knee on Sunday. It is a surprise that Goodwin would have practiced at all after injuring his ribs in the loss. Watkins played nearly every play on Sunday as his groin doesn't appear to be too much of an issue. The team will have another walk through type practice today before leaving for Miami tomorrow. Injury Page.

Right Back To Work: There was no time to sulk after the stunning 17-13 loss to the Chiefs. The coaches got back to work after the game beginning preparations for the Miami game on Thursday night. Fred Jackson confirmed on WGR today that the team never meant was going to snap the ball on the 4th and 1 play when Seantrel Henderson flinched. The loss was devastating as they should have won it and they would be in the 5th seed in the playoff race, they are now the 10th seed with a very important game in three nights.
