Gameday Grades: The offense was too conservative but a six turnover effort by the defense never allowed the Jets to seriously challenge in this game. That being said there is a lot that didn't go right on offense but big plays were made when necessary and leads to a nice win. Gameday Grades.
Bills Blitz: The Jets turned the ball over six times helping the Bills to a decisive 43-23 win in a Stadium they had never been victorious in. Geno Smith threw interceptions on three consecutive series leading to his benching for Michael Vick who came in and gave the Jets some life. He would also turn the ball over three times himself with an interception and two fumbles. Kyle Orton threw for a career high tying four touchdowns on just 10 of 17 passing for 238 yards. He hit Robert Woods for the first touchdown of the season by the Bills on their opening possession. Lee Smith turned an Aaron Williams interception and return into the Bills second score on a one yard catch. Frank Summers scored for the Bills after an 84 yard bomb to Sammy Watkins came up short when he celebrated too early. Vick came in and led the Jets to 10 points in the final two minutes of the first half to pull them to within a touchdown at 24-17. The Bills put the hammer down in the second half as Dan Carpenter hit two more field goals and Scott Chandler and Watkins caught scoring passes. Bills Blitz.
Injury Update: There appeared to be no serious injuries in this game. Robert Woods and Kyle Williams left the game with back injuries but both would return to action Williams quicker than Woods. Lee Smith left for a while with a lower leg injury but also returned. Injury Page.

As expected Fred Jackson and Ty Powell have been ruled out of the game this week. Marquise Goodwin did not practice again today with his hamstring injury but he has yet to be officially ruled out. He is listed as doubtful. The likely gametime decisions are Aaron Williams and Marcus Easley who are questionable. The key for Williams will be rest for his injured neck. Easley Returns: Marcus Easley returned to practice today on a limited basis. He has missed four games with a knee injury but originally wasn't expected to return until after the bye. Ty Powell, Marquise Goodwin, and Fred Jackson sat out practice today while Aaron Williams was on the field after leaving the Vikings game early after aggravating his neck injury. Sammy Watkins was added to the injury report as a full participant with a groin injury that Coach Marrone said isn't a concern. Mario Williams also made an appearance on the report as a full participant with a thumb problem. Injury Page.
Urbik Gets First Team Reps: There was a change to the offensive line as was expected after another poor performance by the unit against Minnesota. Kraig Urbik took the first team reps today at left guard instead of Cyril Richardson. Urbik was the starter last year for all 16 games at right guard but has fallen out of favor with the coaching staff. Doug Marrone said he now has to step up but wouldn't committ to Urbik getting the start saying he's just one of many options they are expoloring at the moment. There were no other lineup changes on the line during today's practice.

Spiller On IR Designated To Return: The Bills used their special designation of injured reserve for C.J. Spiller. He is on the IR designated to return list which means he could come back week 16. He had surgery yesterday for the broken collarbone. Since they only have two healthy halfbacks they used his roster spot to add RB Phillip Tanner. He spent three years with the Cowboys after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2011. In 39 career games he has 149 yards rushing on 56 carries and two touchdowns. ESPN reports that the Bills initally tried to sign Antonio Andrews off of the Titans practice squad but they added him to their active roster instead of losing him.
Win Doesn't Feel Great: Yes the Bills did escape Sunday's game with a victory which is what matters most. It was ugly by everyone's standard and it is nothing to get excited about how poorly they played and with the big injuries to the top two running backs. Check out Tony Bogyo's latest column breaking down the Vikings game. Complete Story.

Spiller Has Surgery: Fred Jackson confirmed on WGR this morning that C.J. Spiller went in for surgery on his collar bone. Jackson said his own injury could have been worse. He won't need surgery on his injured groin and it is a 3-4 week injury, with the bye in two weeks he may only miss a game or two. Spiller is likely gone for the season although the injured reserve designated to return list could be an outside possibility. No update on the condition of Aaron Williams who left the game in the fourth quarter after aggravating his neck injury. He was already basically playing with one hand as his wrist was heavily bandaged. Injury Page.
