Bills Get Blown Out At Home Again
Gameday Grades: The offense played poorly and gave away 21 points but the defense failed at the worst possible time in the final minutes. They didn't have enough to overcome the horrible pass interference call and the offense had nothing left for the two minute offense. Gameday Grades.
Bills Lose Heartbreaker 34-31: The Bills came back from a 27-3 deficit to take a 31-27 lead before the Jaguars drove down for a game winning 31 yard touchdown from Blake Bortles to Allen Hurns. The play came after a very questionable pass interference penalty against Nickell Robey on a 3rd and 15 incompletion. The offense turned it over on downs and ended the valant comeback as the Jaguars won 34-31 to drop the Bills to 3-4 at the bye after a heartbreaking loss. The Jaguars took control quickly scoring three touchdowns in the opening three minutes of the second quarter. Blake Bortles found Allen Robinson for a 10 yard touchdown pass. EJ Manuel had a fumble returned for a touchdown and then threw a pick six on the next play from scrimmage. T.J. Yeldon added a 28 yard touchdown run a few minutes later to give the Jags the big lead. The Bills comeback started as they pulled to within two touchdowns at the half when Manuel hit Robert Woods for a 16 yard score followed by Dan Carpenter's second field goal just before halftime. The Defense had a goal line stand to stop a long, time consuming Jaguars drive to start the second half and the Bills responded with a field goal. After a fourth quarter drive ended in a LeSean McCoy fumble near the goal line it appeared that would be it but the Bills got a stop and Manuel found Marcus Easley for a 58 yard touchdown bomb, it was followed by a Bills defensive score of their own when Corey Graham returned an interception 44 yards for the go ahead score before Bortles final heroics. Bills Blitz.
Injury Update: Boom Herron left the game late after hurting his leg. A.J. Turpley left with concussion symptoms. Corey Graham seemed to aggravate his groin injury on the game winning touchdown pass. LeSean McCoy got shaken up on a helmet to helmet hit but stayed in the game. Injury Page.
No Healthy Scratches Needed: The Bills seven inactives are knows as seven players were ruled out on Friday. John Miller will not play because he had a death in the family. That means Kraig Urbik will join Cyrus Kouandjio as the new right side of the Bills offensive line. Percy Harvin is also missing the game for the mysterious personal reasons surrounding his hip injury. Karlos Williams, Seantrel Henderson, Kyle Williams, Tyrod Taylor, and Kyle Williams are out with injuries which means there are no healthy scratches required for the game.
No Rain For Game: It seems to always rain in London but that isn't the case today for the Bills game at Wembley Stadium. It will be partly cloudy with no chance of rain and a gametime temperature of 54° with little wind.

Miller To Miss Game: John Miller will not play on Sunday but it has nothing to do with the lingering groin injury that no longer has him on the injury report. He had a death in the family and needed to get his passport so he can head back to the States. That means Kraig Urbik will join Cyrus Kouandjio as the new right side of the Bills offensive line. The Bills made a roster move today as well but it won't be to add a wide receiver since Marcus Easley appears ready to play and be the 4th wideout on Sunday behind Chris Hogan, Robert Woods, and Denarius Moore. The move was to re-add Jordan Gay as a kickoff specialist. They released Josh Bush to make room. Rex Ryan said he will be kicking off on Sunday so a roster spot will need to be cleared. Ryan made it known it will not be Percy Harvin's spot. Injury Page.
Whaley Addresses Media: For the first time in a few weeks Doug Whaley addressed the media during this morning's practice in London. He said the Percy Harvin situation is complex and it isn't just injury related. He knew early last week he would need personal time and has not talked to him this week. He will deal with it when they get back to the states next week. He feels Karlos Williams is getting closer to returning and he thinks Tyrod Taylor will be ready after the bye. He said he doesn't regret trading Matt Cassel because he believes EJ Manuel has more upside. He also said draft position doesn't matter, he would cut Manuel if he felt it was necessary.

Taylor, Watkins Out Sunday: Rex Ryan addressed the media after practice today and said both Tyrod Taylor and Sammy Watkins will not play on Sunday. Taylor had soreness in his knee after practice Wednesday and with the bye coming up they wanted to give him more time to heal. He was using his arm too much in practice on Wednesday to not push off on the injured knee. The coach also ruled out Karlos Williams and Seantrel Henderson with their concussions. Kyle Williams won't play with his knee injury as he is not with the team in London. Percy Harvin will also sit as their are conflicting reports that he is considering retirement. All the reports say he is frustrated with the lingering hip and knee injuries while Vic Carucci reports he's considering retiring other sources including Adam Schefter say he's not but will still be sidelined several weeks. Injury Page.
Jaguars Game Preview: The Bills are in London to play their first regular season game outside of North America. They take on the Jaguars who will be the home team at their home away from home. This is the third straight year Jacksonville has played a game across the pond, losing their previous two. The Bills need to battle through the injury bug to take a win into their bye week. Complete Preview.
Taylor Sits: Tyrod Taylor was nowhere to be seen when the Bills took the practice field in England on Thursday. EJ Manuel was taking the first team reps. On Wednesday, Taylor was on the field and although he was limited in practice he took at least half the first team reps. Sammy Watkins was sitting out once again but did have the walking boot off as he walked somewhat gingerly on the sidelines. Cyrus Kouandjio once again took first team reps at right tackle and should start even though Rex Ryan was non committal on Wednesday.

Ryan Addresses Media: Rex Ryan addressed the media early this morning in the states but mid afternoon in London. He said Percy Harvin, Seantrel Henderson, Karlos Williams, and Kyle Williams are not in London with the team. He said Harvin is dealing with a personal issue the he would not elaborate on it doesn't seem like the hip is the issue this week. He also said that Kyle's injury is a serious one. Karlos and Henderson have concussions but the coach wouldn't commit to Cyrus Koundajio as his starting right tackle but admitted he has been here so that gives him an edge over newly signed Jordan Mills to play. It has been reported he will miss 3-4 weeks. The coach won't rule out anybody including Sammy Watkins but admitted it doesn't look too good for him this week as he is still in a walking boot and did not practice today. The coach said they have to flush the toilet on last week's game and the team is hungry. He has confidence in EJ Manuel if he has to play again and admitted he doesn't know if Tyrod Taylor will be ready to go but he took the first snaps at practice today. Leodis McKelvin is practicing for the first time this year. He is expected to be limited this week and they have 21 days to activate him from the Non Football Injury list. Marcus Easley is back on the field after sitting out Sunday's game with a shoulder injury. The coach agrees with his defensive linemen that they need to change the scheme some to have better results on defense. The coach felt they made the right decision going to London on Sunday night so they can adjust to the time change. The Jaguars aren't going until Thursday, the coach says time will tell which way was better. We have the Wednesday practice report for both teams. Injury Page.

Mills Signed; Goodwin To IR: The Bills are in London and enjoying the sights on their off day on Tuesday along with doing a league sponsored Play 60 event. The Jaguars are not coming to London until Thursday. The Bills have placed Marquise Goodwin on season ending injured reserve with his second ribs injury of the season. They used the roster spot to sign OT Jordan Mills off of the Lions practice squad. He was a 5th round draft pick of the Bears in 2013 and started 29 games in two years in Chicago. Kyle Williams did not make the trip and will not play this week. It is widely reported that both Karlos Williams and Percy Harvin will also miss the game. No word on if they made the trip or not but Williams wasn't expected to go. Sammy Watkins did make the trip holding out hope he will play but he is reportedly doubtful to play especially with the bye following this game. Doesn't sound good like Seantrel Henderson will be available with the signing of Mills. Look for the Bills to probably activate Dez Lewis from the practice squad since they only have three healthy receivers with Marcus Easley also hurting. The team did sign WR Titus Davis to the practice squad and released QB Dustin Vaughan from that unit. He was an undrafted free agent from Central Michigan originally signed by the Chargers. On the positive side LeSean McCoy made it through the game against Cincinnati ok and Tyrod Taylor said in London on Tuesday that he feels good and the knee is not hampering him, he hopes to play. Front Office Page.
Bills May Be Going Nowhere: For a few weeks now Tony Bogyo has been wondering which Bills team is for real. The team that dominated the likes of Miami or can't seem to get out of their own way at home. After the demoralizing loss to the Bengals, coupled with a ton of injuries, he now feels like the team is going nowhere fast. Complete Story.
