Bills Lose Tough One In Seattle Bye Week Blues: The Bills got no help from the scoreboard in their fading hopes for a wildcard berth. The Bills and their fans sat at home during the bye and watched teams they needed to lose win games including a couple of last second victories by Denver and Kansas City. Also winning games that hurt the Bills were Tennessee, Miami, and Houston. The only game that went their way was a last second loss by Pittsburgh. One silver lining however is that it is always good when New England loses even if the Bills don't have a prayer at catching them for the division. Friday November 11, 2016 Sherman Fined; Refs Not: The NFL has reportedly fined Richard Sherman $9,115 for his hit on Dan Carpenter that did not result in a personal foul. That is the maximum fine for a first offense for that foul. The officials were not disciplined for botching the final minute of the half getting two decisions wrong. They will have two marks against them in their overall grade for the season which could come back to hurt the crew when post season assignments are handed out. Thursday November 10, 2016 Wood Has Surgery: Eric Wood underwent successful surgery yesterday on his broken fibula. He told WGR that it isn't nearly as bad a break has the last time he broke his leg. He feels he will be ready to play in 6 to 8 weeks but it appears almost certain he will be placed on injured reserve. He did not confirm the report that he also had ligament damage. Injury Page. Tuesday November 8, 2016 Gameday Grades: A tough loss saw somewhat of a coming out party on offense, a big play on special teams but some breakdowns in coverage along with poor play on defense especially in the first half. Gameday Grades. Bills Blitz: Raise your hand if you knew this game would be a shootout? That's exactly what we got as the Bills fell short in a heartbreaking 31-25 loss to the Seahawks. The Bills got inside the 10 yard line in the final minute before two sacks forced a 4th down pass from the 15 that fell incomplete in the end zone. On the play Richard Sherman tackling Walter Powell in the corner of the end zone. There was no call as the referees were absolutely awful in this game. Jerry Hughes blocked a punt to setup a Tyrod Taylor three yard touchdown run less than two minutes into the game. Taylor also threw a touchdown pass to Justin Hunter as the Bills are the first team in six years to score two first quarter touchdowns against Seattle. Unfortunately the Bills had no answers on defense in the first half as Russell Wilson just picked apart the Bills with a passing game Tom Brady would have been proud of. He finished 20 of 26 for 282 yards, two touchdown passes and a touchdown run. Taylor was 27 of 38 for 289 yards in the crushing defeat. Bills Blitz. Injury Update: Eric Wood went off in the fourth quarter with a broken leg and was carted off. His season is almost certainly over. LeSean McCoy looked healthy until late in the third quarter when he slipped down and came up gimpy. He returned to the game but seemed limited the rest of the way. Jerry Hughes limped off in the final minutes of the game. Injury Page. Monday November 7, 2016 Gameday Inactives: Three players were ruled out on Friday with injuries and lead the inactive list. Gameday Weather: It's been raining a lot in Seattle lately and there will be some showers around today but they should be over in time for tonight's game.
