He said he will be able to ice it tonight and should be good to go during tomorrow morning's practice. Tyrod Taylor came up a little lame late in the practice with a left leg issue. He played through it though. Cordy Glenn was back on the field and said he felt reassured by Dr. Bob Anderson when he went to see him. He feels confident he will be good to go for the start of the season and acknowledged that there is a practice plan in place for him. Micah Hyde and Shaq Lawson both practiced on a limited basis as Hyde comes back from a hip injury and Lawson is battling a groin injury from Friday night. Day 7 Camp Notes: Micah Hyde sat out this morning's practice with the hip injury suffered yesterday. Shamiel White took his first team reps again today. McDermott said they signed Taiwan Jones because of the speed he brings to the return game. Bills Sign RB: The Bills had former Raiders RB Taiwan Jones for a visit today and signed him. He will have a chance to make a difference in the return game and will challenge for playing time behind LeSean McCoy in the backfield. He also has experience playing CB but will be a RB with the Bills. He was in Oakland the past six seasons and made most of his impact as a kick returner.
Day 6 Camp Notes: The first big scare of training camp happened today when Micah Hyde made a diving interception of a Tyrod Taylor pass. He was in pain on the ground then walked off gingerly with what looked like a left knee injury. Minutes later he returned to the sidelines dancing around and appeared fine. It is being called a hip injury but he's ok and did return to practice. Michael Ola was also shaken up and went off with trainers. Brandon Tate returned to practice on a limited basis today after missing a few days with a calf injury. LeSean McCoy was back on the field after missing yesterday with a stomach bug. Day 5 Camp Notes: With Ronald Darby back on the field, Kevon Seymour went back to taking 2nd team reps behind Leondard Johnson at the nickel spot. Tyrod Taylor had a rough day according to media accounts while Dion Dawkins showed progress at run blocking. Shaq Lawson got another sack as he continues to be a star in the early days of camp. Marcell Dareus spoke to the media after practice and said he needs to drink more water to avoid hamstring tweaks. He called Kyle Williams his work wife and said he was so glad he returned this year. Dareus said he doesn't pay attention to critics and that he is out to prove something to himself, the fans, and his teammates on the field this year. Max Valles was with the third team on the defensive line today after spending most of camp with the 2nd team. He answered the bell with two sacks. Eddie Yarbrough was with the 2nd team after a solid start to camp. Mike Tolbert and Jonathan Williams split first team reps with LeSean McCoy sick. Tanner Vallejo got first team reps with Lorenzo Alexander sitting out for a maintenance day.
McDermott Speaks Before Practice: The Bills hit the field this morning after having yesterday off. Sean McDermott addressed the media before practice. He said LeSean McCoy wouldn't practice on Tuesday because of an illness. Marcell Dareus will be back however they will monitor his reps. Ronald Darby returns to practice after being sidelined with a slight ankle injury. Eric Wood and Lorenzo Alexander are getting veteran rest days. No change in the status of the injured three Colt Anderson, Brandon Tate, and Ian Seau. On the backup RB spot he likes the effort and strides being made by Jonathan Williams. He is happy with the work they have put in so far but they have a lot more to do to grow as a football team on and off the field. Part of the evaluation process is having twos playing with the ones and mixing and matching to see who can handle the next level. On Reggie Ragland not playing with the ones, McDermott said there is a plan like there is for every player. They are just acclimating him right now in what essentially is his first full training camp. They like what he is doing so far but a lot of work remains. Seantrel Henderson has done well in camp so far despite what he has dealt with off the field. He came in at 340 lbs. but is going up and down becaue of his issues. He is encouraged by the competition and play on both sides of the line. He loves the leadership of Eric Wood and Richie Incognito.
