Richie Incognito Retires?
Sunday April 15, 2018
Incognito Drama: Richie Incognito contiues to cause drama with his tweets. Here's a quick recap. First he signed a new contract taking a pay cut but received a signing bonus. Then he fired his agent presumably unhappy with his pay cut. Then he suddenly retired citing health reasons. Then he tweeted that he would see the Bills at the start of organized team activities tomorrow. Finally, he tweeted that he wants the Bills to release him and contact the agent he supposedly fired. Get all that? Richie wants his cake and eat it to. He wants the Bills to cut him so he can keep his signing bonus and then try to find a better deal elsewhere. Why would he take the paycut then? He could have forced the Bills hand by not agreeing to the paycut and then he would have probably got his release. Strange times for Richie. Stay tuned.

NFLPA Confirms Retirement: The NFLPA tweeted tonight that Richie Incognito informed them tonight he will retire. No annuncement from the Bills yet. Vic Carucci reported that the contract situation didn't have anything to do with the retirement, although he wasn't happy about it. It was health concerns that weighed heavily on him. LeSean McCoy said on social media that he was upset Richie was retiring and offered him $300,000 if he stayed to help him to achieve his goals.
Incognito Retiring? Peter King is reporting that Richie Incognito is seriously considering retirement. Incognito tweeted to the players association that he's out. He recently agreed to a pay cut and then fired his agent so he appears unhappy about it. He told Vic Carrucci that he is done and that his liver and kidneys are shutting down. It brings a big hole to the middle of the offensive line that already lost Eric Wood to a forced retirement.
