Thursday October 30, 2003 Donahoe Backs Coach: Tom Donahoe broke his silence with the media and put an end to the rumors that Gregg Williams will not survive the season. Donahoe called the second half of the season gut check time for the team, the staff, and the organization. He said he's confident that things will get going in the right direction and told fans to forget about a petition they have started that calls for the dismissal of Williams. Wednesday October 29, 2003 McGahee Likely To Be Activated: Tom Donahoe confirmed today that the team will likely activate Willis McGahee after the bye week. That doesn't mean he will immediately see action. Donahoe said they don't want to place him on IR because he wouldn't be able to practice. For that reason they will activate him but likely make him a gameday inactive until he is ready to play. The team has until next Wednesday to make a final decision. Bills Practice Notes: The team continued its bye week workouts today. Players that missed the practice to rest injuries included: Eric Moulds, Sam Gash, Sam Adams, Jonas Jennings and Ron Edwards. Thomas Awarded Tonight: Thurman Thomas gets inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame tonight at a ceremony at 8pm that will be televised by Empire. Bills Practice: The team returned to practice yesterday as they go back to working on some training camp fundamentals over the bye week. Coach Williams gave the linebackers and offensive linemen off as the rest of the team worked out. Ron Edwards also remains out of action with his shoulder injury. Tuesday October 28 2003 Bills Return To Work: The Bills had yesterday off after the long overnight flight back from Kansas City Monday morning. They return to work today licking their wounds. They will practice today, tomorrow and Thursday and then have a three day weekend break before resuming their normal in week schedule on Monday.
