Gameday Grades: The Bills just imploded in this game behind penalties and undisciplined play. The offense was beyond sluggish for most of the game and it all resulted in poor grades from this game. Gameday Grades.
Bills Blitz: The Bills played an undisciplined, uninspired, sloppy football game as the Giants defense smothered the Bills most of the game to give them a 24-10 win to even both teams records at 2-2. The Bills couldn't get out of their way as the yellow flags rained down on the field with two touchdowns nullified by penalties. Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes to lead a workmanlike offensive effort from the G-Men. They built a 16-3 halftime lead with the Bills finally getting into the end zone on a 23 yard touchdown pass from Tyrod Taylor to Karlos Williams. The Bills started moving the ball in the second half but a holding penalty on Kraig Urbik negated a 31 yard touchdown run by Taylor. A chop block penalty in the final minute on Richie Incognito negated a touchdown pass to Charles Clay who led the team with 9 catches for 111 yards. Bills Blitz.
Injury Update: The Bills suffered several bumps and bruises in the game but the only banged up players not to finish the game were Marquies Gray and Bacarri Rambo. Gray hurt his arm. Rambo got banged up twice the second time he suffered a leg injury. Travis Taylor seemed to get his legs tangled up in the final seconds and limped around a bit at the end of the game. Cordy Glenn left the game in the first quarter after injuring his ankle. He had it re-taped and tried to return but last one play before leaving again. He returned in the second half however. Corey Graham left the game after getting shaken up on the first play of the 2nd half but returned after one play. Nickell Robey got banged up in the first quarter but quickly returned. Ronald Darby was run into by Rambo for the third time in two games. They were both shaken up but returned. LeSean McCoy didn't play but there was no injury news on him. Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports that he has a new tear and will need 3-4 weeks to recovery if he wants to be 100% before playing again. That would likely keep him out until after the midseason bye. Injury Page.
Gameday Inactives: With five players ruled out on Friday the Bills have only two healthy scratches for this game. Aaron Williams, LeSean McCoy, Sammy Watkins, John Miller, and Marquise Goodwin were already listed as out. Tony Steward and Alex Carrington are the healthy inactives. For the Giants Markus Kuhn, Robert Ayers, Victor Cruz, and Jerome Cunningham were ruled out on Friday. LT Ereck Flowers is active for the Giants after being listed as questionable.
Gameday Weather: It will be a nice fall day for today's game at Ralph Wilson Stadium. It will be mostly cloudy with a gametime temperature of 58° with temperatures rising into the 60s during the game under clearing skies. Wind shouldn't be much of a factor as it will be out of the East at 8mph. The home crowd will be pumped as the RV lot soldout on Saturday for the third straight time this year.

Bills Activate Wood: The Bills have activated RB Cierre Wood from the practice squad to give them a third running back on the depth chart while LeSean McCoy is out. To make room they have released DT Andre Fluellen. Front Office Page.
5 Ruled Out: Marquise Goodwin, Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy, John Miller, and Aaron Williams have all been ruled out for this week's game against the Giants. It has been expected all week that McCoy, Watkins, and Miller would be out since they haven't practiced. McCoy said he aggravated his hamstring injury last Thursday and he will sit out until he's 100%. He said it's easier to do so because of the play of Karlos Williams. Goodwin and Williams had practiced on a limited basis holding out hope they would play. Williams worked with the scout team all week and Goodwin hasn't been full speed since breaking ribs in the preseason. Injury Page.

McCoy, Watkins Just About Ruled Out: While Rex Ryan wouldn't officially rule out LeSean McCoy and Sammy Watkins for Sunday's game but he made it clear that they won't be playing. John Miller is likely out after he didn't practice again today. Aaron Williams continues to practice on a limited basis but most of his work is with the scout team so it seems like he may be a week away but that is less certain. Dan Carpenter has been limited for two straight days with a knee injury but Rex Ryan said he will play on Sunday. For the Giants, Victor Cruz has been ruled out after having a setback with his calf injury in practice yesterday. DE Robert Ayers also had a setback in practice on Wednesday in recovery from his hamstring injury. LT Ereck Flowers is still gimpy after missing last week's game with an ankle. Injury Page.
Darby Honored: Ronald Darby has been named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for September. In the three games he had eight passes defensed and two interceptions. Sammy Watkins won the Offensive version of the award last October and Kiko Alonso won it in September of 2013.

McCoy Likely Out: Reports this week that LeSean McCoy won't play appears to be accurate. Rex Ryan spoke to the media this morning and said it's a real possibility that McCoy will sit this week. They are weighing right now if it's worth the time to get him to 100%. Ryan said they can activate Cierre Wood from the practice squad or use Marcus Thigpen as the third running back. McCoy and Sammy Watkins are both not practicing today and Ryan said Watkins may sit as well against the Giants. It is also possible that Aaron Williams misses another week with his neck injury. He was back on the field today but not in full gear. Tony Steward and Marquise Goodwin were in full gear at practice. John Miller was working with trainers on the side but not practicing and Percy Harvin got his usual rest day. Alex Carrington was not practicing either. Injury Page.
Brown Honored: Preston Brown has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Miami. He is the first Bill to win an award this year and the first Bills linebacker to win it since Takeo Spikes did it in 2003. He intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown that basically put the game away before halftime. He also had seven tackles.

McCoy To Sit? NFL Network's Rand Getlin and ESPN's Adam Schefter are both reporting that LeSean McCoy is unlikely to play on Sunday against the Giants. Rex Ryan said yesterday he would consider resting McCoy if the doctors told him too. The team may decide it is better for him to sit out and let the hamstring heal while Karlos Williams is playing so well. It would create a depth problem at the position and may require the team to elevate Cierre Wood from the practice squad or sign another back. Injury Page.
Big Win In Miami: Our columnist Tony Bogyo is trying not to get too giddy after the big win in Miami. He is uncharacteristically optimistic about the team after the 2-1 start to the season but he loves what he sees so far in Tyrod Taylor. Complete Story.

Watkins Up In The Air: Rex Ryan said during today's press conference that there is a chance the team will be without Sammy Watkins when they face the Giants on Sunday. He said players like Watkins and John Miller who don't finish games usually sit the next week. The coach also said he doesn't know if LeSean McCoy's hamstring injury is worse now and didn't rule out resting him if the medical staff says that's what they should do. He said Aaron Williams is still sore and stiff. Ian Rapoport reports it is just a mild calf strain for Watkins and he's day to day. Injury Page.
