McDermott Presser: Sean McDermott addressed the media before the final practice of the week and the trip to Kansas City. The coach ruled out Cordy Glenn for Sunday's game which was expected as he has not practiced in a couple of weeks. John Miller and Mike Tolbert have also been ruled out for a second straight game. Kelvin Benjamin remained sidelined today but he has not been ruled out as of yet and is listed as questionable for the game but it seems very unlikely he plays as well. Charles Clay, Jordan Matthews, and Deonte Thompson were limited again today and are also questionable for the game. Stephen Hauschka was full go for the first time this week and is not on the final injury report. The coach said they are focused on just one game, the one in front of them. Focusing on anything else is a distraction. To stop Kareem Hunt their fundamentals need to be top notch. He believes if they are doing things right fundamentally from the start it gives them a chance getting 11 hats to the football. Injury Page.

Taylor To Start: Sean McDermott addressed the media during his normal Media Day press conference but this one was not normal as more press was there than usual waiting to find out who would be the starting quarterback this week. Tyrod Taylor is the answer, McDermott announced it at the beginning of the press conference. He said it is the right thing for the team and he had dialogue with the team and the leadership council and that is always a part of it but it is his decision. Nate Peterman was a pro and understands and moves forward to focus on the Chiefs at this time. He wants Nate and the whole team to embrace the mindset that there is no fear in greatness and not everything that went wrong was his fault He wouldn't commit to Tyrod for more than this week using his we evaluate every position every week line. It's part of the process that a rookie has to play at some point that is how you get better. That is how you develop the future of an organization and sustained success to develop a foundation. Taylor is a pro who is focused on the Chiefs he expects him to prepare like he always does. He says it isn't about wavering it is always about the team. He is not focused on the playoffs but he is focused on the Chiefs. This year more than most shows it is a week to week lead. The Chiefs are a good football team and Andy Reid is a heckva coach. They have been challenged like we have the past few weeks. He wouldn't say what he learned from Sunday's disaster because he's focused on this week. He feels the right thing for this team is to start Tyrod just like he thought last week the right thing was to start Nate. On the injury front, Kelvin Benjamin will not practice today and is day to day they will see if he can be ready for Sunday. John Miller Cordy Glenn and Dion Dawkins will also not practice. Dawkins has an illness and Glenn's status hasn't changed. He continues to rehab and it isn't anything different they hope to get him back at some point. Charles Clay Jordan Matthews Mike Tolbert Deonte Thompson and Stephen Hauschka will be limited. He talked about being in the hunt on Thanksgiving as a good thing not realizing it is considered a joke in Buffalo since they are also in the hunt at this time but never make the playoffs. On Defense there is a lot that needs to improve including gap control and understanding how to fit a run better. They are working hard on that this week. He said it's easy to make the comfortable decisions but he is not afraid to make the uncomfortable decisions but won't make irrational snap decisions.

Practice Squad Moves: The Bills have signed DE Cap Capi to the practice squad. He takes the spot of DL Eric Lee who was signed to the Patriots roster. The Bills also worked out a former player as DT Stefan Charles was in for a visit among several other defensive linemen, the team usually works people out on Tuesdays but the sheer amount of players at DL that they looked at says something. Front Office Page.
Bogyo Column: Tony Bogyo checks in with his latest column in which he talks about the sad state of the Bills and specifically what is going on with the QB situation. Complete Story.

McDermott Presser: Sean McDermott addressed the media this afternoon after the long ride home from the West Coast overnight. He would not commit to the starting QB for next week staying with his pat line that he is still evaluating that right now. On Nathan Peterman he owns the decision and doesn't regret it but he regrets the result. It wasn't just Nathan that struggled they learn and grow from it and get better. One game will not define his career. He remains confident in him and there are plays that he wants back but there were some plays that you say were pretty darn good. This is part of the growth process it burns and it burns hard. McDermott spoke about positives and growth like the team won and not just got blown out for a third straight game. No ligament damage on Kelvin Benjamin but they are still evaluating the injury. You want to win but moving forward you want to establish the standard and the culture the coach said. They need to continue to develop that strong foundation. He said he communicated with Rick Dennison his decision to go with Peterman last week but it was his decision. Dennison moving upstairs last week was something they wanted to do all along. Despite his decision not working he can't waver in making a decision. Micah Hyde checked out fine so there is at least good news on the injury front.
